Swisscross, high quality rubber level crossings in Roman Switzerland. The CFF started to replace several tracks with 1,435mm gauge and wooden sleepers in the areas of Fribourg and St. Maurice. This could only be done during the night, therefore it was quick and easy to install Swisscross rubber level crossings with inner and outer elements. Bending the elements makes them easy to handle and no special tools or joint bars are needed. This offers greater satisfaction to nearby residents as flexible rubber is silent and easy to take care of. If necessary, single elements can be removed and reinstalled. Swisscross is also available in 1,000mm track gauge in two versions for heavy and intensive traffic, or service and pedestrian traffic.
