Portec Rail Group Appoints Mark Allen as Head of Engineering (Rail)

Portec Rail Group, Sheffield — part of Portec Rail Products (NASDAQ Global Market 'PRPX') announces the appointment of Mark Allen as head of engineering (rail) UK. Mark Allen brings a wealth of specialist experience from within the UK rail industry. He joined the industry via the Railtrack UK graduate training scheme in 1997 having achieved a degree in civil engineering and engineering management and being previously employed within the civil engineering sector.
In recent years, Mark has primarily been involved within the national specialist team (rail) at Network Rail's UK headquarters, focusing on rail profile and rail friction management. This specialist knowledge will form the backbone of his role and responsibilities to support Portec Rail Group customers' short, medium and longer term strategies.
Mark Allen says, "I am extremely pleased to join Portec Rail Group, UK. Mark lives in North Hertfordshire, UK (near Cambridge) and will manage his time between the Portec Rail Sheffield office and his home office.
