Westcode Opens New Manufacturing Facility in Galesburg, Illinois

Officials of Galesburg, IL. and guests joined owners Ed and Carol Widdowson in the recent official opening of Westcode's newest manufacturing facility in North America. "The Galesburg Facility provides Westcode with the ability to service the growing mid-west passenger and freight markets with 24 hours service response" said Mike Hall, President of Westcode, Inc.
Plant Supervisor Donald 'Skip' Kinyon, a Galesburg native, is off to a running start as Westcode will be producing their recent multi-year contract from METRA for Unitized HVAC units, as well as the servicing of HVAC Units installed on EMD locomotives. Gallesburg's prime location and experienced resident labor force will also enable Westcode to focus on providing sales and service support to the class one and short line freight railroads.
Westcode is a leading supplier of HVAC and door operating systems and also designs and manufactures leveling and compensating valves together with other rolling stock products.
