Rugged, 30W DC/DC Converter for Railway Video Monitoring and Wireless Networks

The RWF 30 is a rugged DC/DC converter specifically designed for low power railway applications including video monitoring and wireless networks. It is also suitable for operation in industrial, mining, oil rig, military and other harsh environments.
This 30W converter provides single outputs of either 12V or 24Vdc and accepts inputs of 24V, 36V, 48V, 72V or 110Vdc, with wide supply voltage ranges. Other input and output voltages are available on request.
The RWF 30 is fully protected on the input and output and complies with the requirements of EN 50155 for electronic equipment used on railway rolling stock. It also meets EN 50121-3-2 (EMI and EMC) and EN 55022 Class B EMI, with wide margins. This unit features up to 90% efficiency, depending on the input/output configuration.
Full encapsulation in a thermally conductive MIL-spec. silicon rubber compound ensures immunity to shock, vibration, humidity, moisture, salt and airborne contaminants. Conduction cooled via a base plate, the unit is capable of operating in temperatures of up to 85°C, cold plate. This compact, cost effective design is housed in a 2.3 x 7.1 x 2.4 inch enclosure.
