On 4 May 2010 B3 Cable Solutions announced the launch of its new brand B3 Future Technologies, which provides unique end-to-end solutions for FTTx passive infrastructure, from the provider through to the customer connection point. B3 also announced the acquisition of Anpeq to further strengthen their offering to the market, with specific focus on access technologies and products for single and multi-dwelling units in addition to home networking.
Today B3 Future Technologies has great pleasure in announcing another strategic acquisition, Swedish company Catway Sverige. Catway offers a complete system for fibre-to-the-home (FTTH), including both city and residential networks. Catway fibre systems, branded CATflow, are developed based on experience gained from a multitude of large FTTH projects in Scandinavia, which is recognised in leading the rest of Europe in FTTx deployment. Catway offers a product range that is entirely complimentary to B3 Future Technologies and includes:
Catway's service and product offering combined with B3 Future Technologies existing product range including optical fibre cable systems and access network connectivity technologies, provides customers with a truly unique value proposition for FTTx networks.
Steve Ellis (MD of B3) said, "Today's acquisition of Catway further demonstrates that B3 is extremely serious about providing customers with the latest know how and products to successfully deliver FTTx networks on time and cost effectively. B3 Future technologies will lead the market with a complete offering for the next generation access network. What has excited us most about Catway is the CATflow range that enables customers to save up to 30% off the cost of traditional FTTx solutions."
Dennis Bergh (MD of Catway) added, "For Catway this has been an extremely strategic decision as it leverages our extensive experience within the well established Scandinavian market and our CATflow range with B3 Future Technologies products and extensive market reach. This enables us to provide proven solutions to an extensive and far-reaching customer base."
