IBEG Novelty SandMaid to be Presented at InnoTrans 2010

09 September 2010

30 years after developing the first sanding systems, IBEG is bringing to the market a new generation of sanding systems that is more than just an evolution. It is revolutionizing the entire logistic in the area of sanding systems.

The innovative concept of equipping rail vehicles with exchangeable sand containers benefits vehicle manufacturers and transit authorities alike. The new system is offering cost savings and technical advantages as exterior or interior sand refilling becomes obsolete.

Handy, exchangeable sand containers (e.g. in a four-bottle system) are used to comfortably provide the vehicles with sand at any location, as the vehicle does not need to head for a central filling station to get restocked with sand.

Furthermore, there is no need for expensive and intricate sand refill doors or flaps. The single- or multiple container system can be installed inside the vehicle or on the outside directly mounted to the bogie. The system works with sand or other adhesion enhancers, i.e. aluminum oxide. Cost savings for purchasing and maintenance are significant.
