IBEG has a reputation of advancing public transportation by providing high-quality bus and rail components. Furthermore, IBEG has an interest in the development of sustainable transportation solutions that benefit all.
Inspired by modern public transportation systems in Europe, IBEG's president, Kurt Boehni, has been spearheading the organisation of the first US Sustainable Transportation Forum, and IBEG is a key sponsor. The event will be presented by the Georgia Institute of Technology and Consulate General of Switzerland in Atlanta, US, as a two-day public policy forum to explore solutions to Georgia's growing traffic congestion.
This gathering of regional planners, advocates, policy makers, business leaders and political decision-makers will define exactly what problems the region faces, what solutions are available, and describe the leadership needed to avoid gridlock. Other presentations will be organised for transportation, engineering, planning and architectural students attending Atlanta area colleges.
This free event will be held on 20-21 January 2010 at the Technology Square research building at Centery, 85 Fifth Street, Atlanta, on the campus of GeorgiaTech, and is open to the public.
