All IBEG Designs Now Completed in 3D

28 October 2009

All large rail vehicle manufacturers design their vehicles using high-quality 3D design technology. To help make the design process and the integration of IBEG components more efficient, in 2005 IBEG started to provide 3D kinematic models of its bridge plates, access ramps and door entry step systems.

In 2007 IBEG's engineers started the evaluation process to transform the company's complete design process into a new 3D CAE system. After several benchmark tests IBEG has chosen to go with the CATIA system. In 2009 CATIA was installed and an extensive and exciting training program brought all our engineers to this new level in the design process.

Today all new IBEG product developments and designs are done in CATIA. This move will now allow IBEG to work even more efficiently together with our customers in the design and product development process.
