Accident at the Kurumoch - Tsarevshchina KBSh level crossing on January 8, 2025

Today at 8:34 PM (Moscow time), at the railroad crossing between the Kurumoch and Tsarevshchina stations of the Kuibyshev Railway, the driver of a passenger car drove onto the crossing in front of an approaching train #106 from St. Petersburg to Orenburg.

The train driver applied emergency braking, but the clearance was insufficient, and a collision could not be avoided.

According to preliminary information, there were no injuries as a result of the accident.

Train No. 106 from St. Petersburg to Orenburg continued its journey 14 minutes behind schedule.

The incident did not affect the operation of other trains.

Kuibyshev Railway urges drivers to exercise caution when crossing railway tracks and strictly observe traffic rules.
