Updating infrastructure facilities of the Traction Directorate

As a result of the implementation of the investment program of the Traction Directorate, in the first half of 2023, four completed locomotive facilities were opened on the Sverdlovsk and Far Eastern roads.
In February 2023, three locomotive facilities were opened on the Sverdlovsk road, namely:
rest house for locomotive crews at the Perm-Sortirovochnaya station. The functionality of the building provides for the placement of rest rooms for workers of locomotive crews of the operational locomotive depots of Berezniki, Sverdlovsk-Sortirovochny, Chusovskoye (freight traffic). In total, over the course of a year, more than 10 thousand train crew workers will be able to rest and gain strength for a new trip. In addition, the building provides a psychophysiological laboratory and a rehabilitation center for workers of locomotive crews of the Perm-Sortirovochnaya operational locomotive depot;

rest house for locomotive crews at Kamyshlov station. It is intended for proper rest of the locomotive crews of the operational locomotive depots Voynovka, Ishim, Sverdlovsk-Sortirovochny, Kamensk-Uralsky, Egorshino and Chelyabinsk of the South Ural Traction Directorate (freight traffic). More than 16 thousand employees per year will be provided with the necessary rest conditions for subsequent trips;
& the technical re-equipment of the current repair shop (TR-3) at the Voynovka depot has been completed (Fig. 1 - 4), which should ensure the implementation of the repair plan for diesel locomotives 2TE116 and TEP70 in the amount of 140 sections per year (before the project was implemented, the workshop provided annual scheduled maintenance of 90 sections of diesel locomotives 2TE116 in the volume of TR-3). The need to create a modern repair base for mainline diesel locomotives arose in connection with the prospect of a significant increase in the volume of transported cargo on the Voynovka - Tobolsk - Surgut - Korotchaevo route. The updated workshop is equipped with modern mechanization equipment, specialized stands and installations for servicing diesel engines, chassis elements, electrical and auxiliary equipment, on-board electronics, etc. 29 new jobs have been created there.

On June 16, 2023, reconstruction was completed on the Far Eastern Road with technical re-equipment of the medium repair shop in the Sibirtsevo service locomotive depot (Fig. 5 - 7). On this day, the first shunting diesel locomotive TEM18DM-941 was released from repair. The production team of the workshop will ensure repairs of shunting diesel locomotives of the TEM2 and TEM18DM series in the amount of medium repairs (SR) in the amount
60 sections and maintenance according to the TR-3 cycle - 110 sections per year. The workshop capacity has been increased by 3 times.
The workshop provides for the implementation of a new technology for repairing locomotives using the large-unit method, which allows expanding the range of repaired units and parts and ensuring high quality work in a short repair time. In the future, it is planned to expand the capabilities of the site by mastering the overhaul of the indicated series of diesel locomotives. In addition, there are plans to increase the number of serviced series: the TEM2 and TEM18DM locomotives will be joined by the TEM7 diesel locomotive.
The opening of a modern workshop will create new jobs - the department will employ up to 150 additional specialists.

The locomotive complex faces important tasks until the end of this year. To ensure traffic safety on railway transport and proper rest for locomotive crews, the construction of rest houses for locomotive crews is underway at the Danilov stations of the Northern Road for 120 places and Khilok of the Transbaikal Road - for 109 places, as well as an operating enterprise of group III with rest rooms for locomotive crews at the Erofey Pavlovich Zabaikalskaya station roads for 42 places.
In addition, work continues to retrofit and re-equip operational locomotive depots with technological equipment for repair and maintenance of traction rolling stock, including new series.
In 2023, the purchase of more than 400 units is planned. technological, control, measuring and diagnostic equipment.
